Companion Pass
Southwest’s Companion Passes are normally a sought-after frequent flyer incentive and are effectively unlimited buy-one-get-one-free tickets. Passholders can nominate a companion traveler who can accompany them on their journeys for free.
Southwest Rapid Rewards members must typically fly at least 100 one-way flights or earn at least 125,000 qualifying points in a calendar year to qualify.
While a pass is active, the authorized companion can be changed up to three times.
The Companion Pass is a unique feature among US airlines that allows qualified Customers to nominate one person to fly with them for free (does not include taxes and fees starting at $5.60 one-way) every time the Customer purchases or redeems points for a ticket.
How to Qualify for the Pass
- Travelers must be Rapid Rewards members and register for the deal before Thursday at 11:59 p.m. CDT.
- Once enrolled, you must purchase a round-trip airfare or two one-way tickets by Thursday evening.
- Travel must be completed by November 17.
